Step 1: Track

  • For three days write down everything you do in 30 minute segments. Pick any three days between May 6th and May 11th.

  • Include everything - watching TV, social media, sleeping, eating, working and resting.

Step 2: Review

  • At the end of three days review the most and least valuable time spent.

Step 3: Goals

  • Based on your review, set 1-2 goals to maximize your valuable time and minimize wasted time.

Step 4: Share

  • On May 11th I’ll invite you to share your goals either through a post on Instagram with thebetterpath.ca tagged or through Instagram direct message.

For those who share their goals, there will be three chances to win a $30 gift card to a local coffee shop of your choice (BC only).

FAQ:

What days should I track?
Between May 6th and May 11th I suggest tracking at least one weekend day and two typical working days.

How should I track?
Track on paper, your phone or a computer doc. Choose something that will be convenient for your lifestyle. I suggest documenting at least twice a day in the late morning and evening.

Is there a fee for participating?
Nope!

What kind of goals could I expect to set?
They will be completely unique to you! Here are a few I’ve used in the past:

  • Spend at least one hour a day ‘single tasking’

  • Start and end the day with a 15 minute walk to clear my head

  • No social media apps between 10pm and 10am

What are some benefits for participating?

  • Bring awareness to how you spend your time.

  • Get things done efficiently.

  • Maximize time with friends, family and doing things you love.
